An idea that emerged in the year 1981, took shape in the form of Snita Transport Company. They say the beginnings are always humble and so it was with the inception of Snita Transport Company when M.R. Gopalakrishnan started his journey with a single truck in Vadodara, Gujarat with a clear vision to provide logistics based on safety, optimisation, and above all, trust.
As the company grew in size and scale, M.R. Gopalakrishnan was joined by his brother M.R. Vijayakumaran who defined a sustainable foundation and implemented newer strategies to further accelerate the growth of the company.
With years of experience in providing trustworthy services to clients spread across multiple industries, Snita Transport Company gradually expanded and switched gears. In the year 1999 the company got registered with Registrar of companies, Ahmedabad and started operating in the name and style of Snita Transport Pvt. Ltd.
The company has been historically concentrating on its operations under the business of Transportation Bulk CBFS, Liquid Chemicals, and Petroleum products and delivering value to the clients all over India through their own Tank Trucks.
The company has recently entered into the business of Transportation of Gas Products such as LPG, C-4Mix, Propylene etc.
In the year 1995/2005, M/s. Reliance Industries had awarded "Best Transporter” to Snita Transport Pvt. Ltd., thus acknowledging & further solidifying the quality of service of the company.
From a single truck in 1981 to a competitive and modern – tech fleet of more than 125 trucks in 2020, Snita Transport Pvt. Ltd. has come a long way and has become a familiar name in the logistics & transportation community.
We have in-house vehicle maintenance team & bay, in which we have garage staff that is capable to do complete check-up and repair of the heavy vehicles. This garage team is given a continuous training to adapt to the repairs of the latest bs4 vehicles as well as on the new maintenance technique.
Apart from vehicle maintenance there is a dedicated tyre management team inside the Snita premises that is dedicated to do the necessary repairs of the wear and tear of the tyres: before, during and after the journey of the vehicles. This in-house tyre management facilities helps to save ample amount of time and protects the fleet from the risk of burning tyres, wearing out of the tyre or any kind of tyre mishaps that might happen during the journey.
Our in-house store management team ensures procurement of stock and utilities with TATA as well as other genuine parts dealers which plays a major role in fulfilling basic necessity of the heavy vehicles which comes to the Snita HQ in Vadodara for maintenance and routine check-ups.
Snita has various branch offices in major loading areas to make sure of smooth loading activities of the vehicles to save enormous amount of time that can be utilized for transiting the goods to their destination.
Over the span of 25 years, Snita Transport has built reliable and trustworthy relationship with dealerships from which the vehicles have been procured, which helps in fast management & repairs of the trucks in case any minor or major issue comes up to the truck during the transit. This helps us in acquiring outstanding services and maintenance from their heavy vehicle dealership across the India. We consider these relations with such heavy vehicle dealership as an on-road infrastructure for our organization.
The management team at Snita transport has a razor sharp focus on the hassle-free movement for all kind of vendors across the countries geographical borders. The experience of the organization as a whole is more than 25 years in the road transportation of various chemicals. The service offerings have been further expanded toward various types of gases and contained solid transportation. This experience has helped us in consistently upgrading our operational perspective and in also upscaling the day to day activities to make the road journey extremely safe and violation free.
Adapting to the technological changes to deeply monitor the tank trucks has helped the clients and all the vendors through the real-time locations and the conditions of the vehicles while sitting anywhere across the world. Using devices such as speed governors, vehicle tracking systems and abs breaks throughout the trailers and trucks has helped in the better control and supervision over the vehicles in a long journey. Such upgrades have helped in managing deliveries on a large scale in an efficient and reliable manner.
The team strictly and thoroughly adheres to the guidelines of PESO which is a government body dedicatedly working on monitoring the methods and practices of safe chemicals and gases tank manufacturing. This has helped and ensured the tanks of the trucks to be fabricated, assembled and to be maintained in a government certified manner. The operational team in our organization continuously keeps up with the guidelines so the product could be commuted through organized and certified methods. The operational practice along with the coordination with the in-house vehicle maintenance and the tyre management team helps the journey to be in-time and eliminates the road hazards to a greater extent. Ultimately, this helps our organization to provide optimum deliveries to all our clients.

The driver team is considered as an important asset in our organization .They are the bread makers of the company .They are the one who are on the road from sunrise till sunset driving our 100% owned vehicles. To ensure maximum trust and reliance, we try our best to curate the selection of the driver for the safety of the road journey. The driver in our organization have undergone repeated medical examination and police verification, so they could be healthy and fit for a long road journey.
Apart from the examination, the drivers are given continuous safety briefing and on-the-job training to raise their awareness of the latest road safety protocols. All the drivers in the Snita’s fleet carry the safety training card which are issued by the Ashok Leyland driver safety program. These cards are issued after they understand the properties of the chemicals and the gases they are going to be transporting through the road and are also well aware of the protocols they have to follow according to the properties of the goods they are carrying. These safety certificates are reissued after every 6 months and drivers have to undergo training again which ensures the continuous learning and update on protocols and road safety habits.
Other than Ashok Leyland training program, a new driver training program at Pune by the “IDRT team” has been initiated in our organization for the drivers. IDRT stands for Institute Of Driving Training And Research, Pune. This on the job driver training program is conducted for three continuous days with real time road driving practices so the drivers can get better judgement of the vehicle during the long drives. They train the drivers with real truck, real simulations and teach them to use the best practices that have to be followed while carrying hazardous gases and chemicals on different types of roads.
The drivers’ background verification is continuously done through multiple channels so that the vendors don’t need to worry about the product that are being transported. The police verification and their background check is a critical requirement at Snita Transport during the driver recruitment program. Other than police verification, we make the driver undergo a third party background verification by an authbidge team to ensure the utmost safety of the chemicals, gases and the final product that are being transported.

The daily operations in the organization is carried out with a set of internal organization protocols. These protocols are carried out by a strong and well experienced team. On a daily basis, the operational team closely monitors each and every vehicle on how much journey they have accomplished with at most road safety. The operational team also has a dedicated vehicle tracking team which keeps a real-time check on the driving patterns and violations such as over speeding, harsh breaking and continuous driving. These day to day practices by the team aids in achieving efficiency in road transportation.
